Remote - US
This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States.
While we are interested in qualified applicants who are permanently eligible to work for any employer in the United States, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship for employment visas at this time.
We are looking for someone to join our team of ambitious accountants, and help drive the department, and the company forward. You’ll be building processes from scratch and inventing company-driving projects. You think our month end close accounting process is too manual? Tear it down, and build a new one.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting and will be responsible for making journal entries, creating reconciliations, diving into flux analysis - you name it, it’s yours to own. This role will be heavily involved in creating our financial statements and footnotes - so come prepared with your GAAP knowledge! While we’re not public (yet!), we are focused on implementing internal controls to enhance our processes and ensure compliance.
You’ll need to be an effective communicator, because you’ll be corresponding with colleagues across all departments, along with third party consultants, vendors and customers across the globe. And I hope you like technology, because you’ll be utilizing a pretty hefty tech stack, including NetSuite, Workiva and Salesforce. As a Senior Accountant at FullStory your work and decisions won’t just impact the books; they will have an impact on the success of the company.
Prepare and own 80% of month-end closing on a monthly basis.
Use your attention to detail, careful judgment, and GAAP knowledge to enhance our current processes.
Build controls and reconciliations that improve accuracy and reduce risk.
Understand the “why” behind the accounting to have a deep understanding of our books for flux analysis preparation.
Work with third party consultants on audit or tax related requests to provide support and answer questions for quarterly reviews and year end audit requests.
Work cross-functionally with other departments on various projects.
We’re looking for someone who:
Is a Certified Public Accountant.
Has 5+ years of accounting experience owning month-end closing, reconciliations, and building out accounting calendars.
Has experience preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Has experience using NetSuite or other ERP systems to complete journal entries and financial statements (e.g,. SAP, Oracle, Quickbooks).
It would be amazing if:
You have a mix of public and private accounting experience.
You have owned and implemented projects that span cross-functionally within an organization.
You are detail-oriented, and use mistakes as an opportunity to learn and to develop reconciliations that prevent future errors.
You are eager to learn a broad range of systems and information, spanning accounting, finance, tax, operations, and payroll.
