Software Engineer, Data Engine

The scale at which FullStory ingests, processes, and persists data makes our systems uniquely challenging to design and operate. Our Data Engine services are responsible for processing hundreds of thousands of browser and mobile application event bundles every second and quickly transforming this data into easily consumable activity for machines and humans alike. As a software engineer focused on our Activation pipeline, you will be working on evolving the transformation pipeline for our captured data to provide more meaningful signals and timely updates to consumers both  internally and externally. This data feeds both the product analytics features in our own application as well as data analytics and machine learning systems, where streaming accurate data as it is being captured can power further insights and interactivity for our customers.

In a typical day, you might:

• Help design and evolve FullStory's highly distributed data processing pipelines and data management systems.

• Explore ideas about how to unlock new features through thoughtful architecture and framework designs.

• Plan for growth by understanding how to scale data processes from proof of concept through full production scale.

• Ensure the quality and reliability of FullStory's data across the many data stores both internally and externally.

• Develop and improve tooling to manage data at rest across our internal data stores.

Here's what we're looking for:

• You possess a strong understanding the nuances of distributed architectures and tackling capacity and performance challenges when dealing with data at scale.

• You have experience writing Golang code in production.

• You have experience with Kubernetes and supporting highly available and reliable cloud based microservices.

• You have experience building web systems at scale using React, Typescript, or similar front end technologies

• You have worked on asynchronous or streaming processing systems and frameworks.
